Music
As if Dénia doesn´t offer enough with it´s many festivities, restaurants, markets, beaches, water sports and hiking trails, there are also some dazzling events for music fanatics. Music events such as the summer concerts at the castle (Música al Castell), dinner shows and concerts at Condado and live music at places as La Chica De Ayer and Lamarserena are an absolute must-go when it comes to having some good entertainment.
Música al Castell
Every summer in July you can enjoy the lovely event of Música al Castell. During this event you can visit 6 different concerts throughout one week. The concerts are held at the enchanting Castle esplanade and the Plaza de la Constitución. Some of the concerts are free to visit, some have an entrance fee of +/- 15€. In between the main concerts, there are also several parallel activities in and around the city centre of Dénia.
Dinner shows and Concerts
Dinner shows, concerts, cabaret, opera, stand up comedy shows, circus shows… Condado truely has it all! Located in Dénia´s main shopping street, Calle Marqués de Campo, Condado has a restaurant on the ground floor and a big underground hall where the dinner shows and concerts are being held. Live Music at Els Magazinos
Besides having lunch, dinner or just a bite at Els Magazinos, this paradise of food and drinks also regularly offers live music. Mostly in the weekends and during festivities there are local bands performing at the main entrance. There is a square at the main entrance where you can sit on the terrace of restaurant A La Fresca, but there´s also a terrace on the first floor with both a lovely view of Dénia´s castle and the square where the band performs.
Flamenco and live music at the Lighthouse
Restaurant The Lighthouse is located at Dénia´s harbour Marina de Dénia, also known as El Puerto Deportivo. Several times a week there is a band performing ´80s and ´90s songs which everyone knows and loves to sing along with. The live band is performing every Friday at 20:00 and every Sunday from 14:00 to 16:00.
The Lighthouse organises a great deal of events on a weekly base. Every Saturday flamenco group Fardiquera Flamenco performs from 21:00 to 22:30. These performances bring you a some taste of the Andalusian atmosphere at the Costa Blanca. This in combination with the great cooking skills from French chef Frederique will guarantee you´ll have a fantastic evening out.
